Axminster Carpet Overview

Axminster is a machine woven carpet predominantly used in the Hospitality & Commercial markets.

Its stable construction & superior durability makes this product hard wearing & easy to maintain its appearance.

This product is available in widths from 1.00m to 5.00m & qualities range from 7 rows (49 tufts per sq/inch) up to 12 rows (84 tufts per sq/inch).

Axminster carpet is typically manufactured using a 80% wool 20% nylon blend of yarn however other yarns such as nylon, viscose, bamboo & even stippled yarns are available on request.

Axminster is traditionally an ‘all cut pile’ carpet however qualities above 8 rows can be hand carved during the finishing process to create a 3D appearance.

Designing an Axminster carpet is almost limitless allowing you to be creative with the style, scale & even the pattern repeat. A total of 16 colours can be incorporated in any one carpet.

At Atelier Floors our in-house design team offers a fully bespoke design & sampling service.

Typical Axminster installations are Hotels, Restaurants, Cinemas, Bars, Conference Centres & Airports.
